For 30+ years we have raised solely for breeding and maintained the mindset that quality is better than quantity, and we work to maintain a herd size that is optimal for our land. Too many animals will overgraze and you will be left with nothing but dirt, too few and it clears a path for invasive flora and fauna.
The Family Business
Bison roam, it is a beautiful sight every morning to walk out on our front porch with coffee and watch them moving to their first of many grassing spots of the day. They move constantly and their movement reduces the strain on the resources in any given area they eat a bit and move on and in that process, they fertilize with their waste. We are passionate about these animals (you should see our home décor…) and handling them takes great care.
From Ranch to Table
Not only is bison much better for the land but it is it has incredible health benefits, when compared to not only beef, but pork and chicken as well! Not only does it contain fewer calories per gram, it has less fat, less cholesterol, less sodium, and a lot more iron! We are currently working towards being one of the only bison specific USDA certified slaughter and process facilities in the U.S.

By eating more bison, we can reduce the massive demand for beef and increase the demand for bison. In doing so we can get more producers to ditch the cow and switch to bison!
