Bison Specific Methods
Our animals are grass fed and rotational grassed in accordance to the NRCS/Soil and water conservation guidelines. This not only minimizes the environmental impact, but it allows the bison to roam graze the way they did hundreds of years ago. With the added benefit of modern medicine and constant care.
They are bigger, stronger and smarter than cattle and slaughtering them the same way you slaughter cattle can severely stress the animal. This causes un needed suffering, and in doing so releases endorphins that make the meat taste bad. Not only does this do harm to the individual animal but it harms the image of the bison meat industry. Our goal is to change this image, do our part in regenerating the environment, and to Preserve the legend of this beautiful animal.
